VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese athletes brought home five golds and one silver medal from the 80th Singapore Open Track and Field Championship which closed yesterday.

Two-time Southeast Asian Games winner Nguyen Thi Oanh won the women’s 1,500m event in a time of 4 min 16.20sec. Lod Inthakoumman from Laos came second and Aye Aye Aung of Myanmar was third.

It was Oanh’s second gold in Singapore. Earlier, she triumphed in the 3,000m steeplechase.

Three other golds went to Pham Thi Hue and Nguyen Van Lai in the women’s and men’s 5000m, respectively, and Le Trung Duc in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase.

The only silver went to Pham Thi Hong Le in the women’s 5,000m.
