VietNamNet Bridge – A 26-year-old woman in Hung Trach commune, Bo Trach district of Quang Binh province is reported to be pregnant with quadruplets.

The woman, named Hoang Thi Xuan, was married over 1 year ago. This is her first pregnancy.

At the fourth week of pregnancy, the woman was diagnosed with triplets. Recently, Xuan had heavy morning sickness, she could not eat so she came to a local hospital for examination, where doctors made an ultrasound and confirmed that she was pregnant with quadruplets.

Xuan is now in the 11th week of pregnancy.

After examination, the doctor said the fetus is developing normally.

It is very rare to see a natural pregnancy of quadruplets like Xuan’s case, medical experts said. Xuan is now under special care of local doctors.

Vietnam’s latest natural quadruplets were born in Lai Vung district, Dong Thap province in 2012. Mrs. Tran Thi Tinh delivered four baby girls with the weight of 1.5 kg, 1.2 kg, 1.6 kg and 1.7 kg.
