VietNamNet Bridge – Japanese coach Hidehiro Irisawa has called 16 national women’s volleyball players to prepare for August’s Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Malaysia.

Tran Duc Phan, deputy director of the National Sports Administration, approved the list.

Among the players five are from Vietinbank (including veterans Pham Thi Kim Hue and Le Thanh Thuy), six from VTV Binh Dien Long An (including Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa and Tran Thi Thanh Thuy), and two of LienVietPostBank.

Hue, 34, has competed in the SEA Games six times and helped the team get six silver medals.

The team will start training on June 1. They aim to come home the victors.
