VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam’s No.1 chess player Le Quang Liem progressed after drawing with Grandelius Nils from Sweden in the seventh round of the ongoing Gibraltar International Chess Festival 2019, held yesterday.

Liem, Elo 2,714, drew with Nils, Elo 2,682, after 74 moves, in effort to secure his achievement over the last six rounds.

After seven rounds, Liem has accumulated four wins and three draws.  

With 5.5 points aggregate, Liem temporarily ranks in the second group with 12 other players.

Grandmaster Artemiev Vladislav from Russia, Elo 2,709, ranks top with 6 points in aggregate.
