Meanwhile, other local player Tran Tuan Minh emerged victorious over Ali Muhamad Lutfi and Nguyen Anh Khoi beat Zhou Jianchao to climb into the tournament top five players.

With five points, Quang Liem has taken the tournament lead, followed by grandmaster Bu ZIang-zhi of China. The seventh and eighth rounds are set for tomorrow (Mar.16).
