The tournament, which will be held on October 12-19 in Da Nang City, will be one of Vien's warm-ups for a number of international competitions, including the Asian championships and the World Cup.

Vien, who is under training in the United States, will be Viet Nam's representative at the 6th International Military Sports Council World Summer Games to be held in South Korea on October 2-11.

The World Cup silver medal holder is targeting placement in the top three in every category in which she will compete.

The nation's top swimmer will also compete at the Asian Age Groups Swimming Championships in Thailand, which will begin today in Bangkok.

Another tournament on her schedule is the 6th World Cup stage, starting on October 28 in Tokyo, Japan.
