VietNamNet Bridge – Vocalists Ho Ngoc Ha and Dam Vinh Hung won top Female and Male Pop Singer awards at Mai Vang (Golden Apricot) Awards ceremony in HCM City on Saturday.

Vocalists Ho Ngoc Ha and Dam Vinh Hung won top Female and Male Pop Singer awards at Mai Vang (Golden Apricot) Awards ceremony in HCM City on Saturday.

It was Ha's third consecutive Golden Apricot and Hung's fourth award.

Singer Thanh Thuy was chosen Most Favourite Folk and Revolutionary Music Singer, her first success at the awards, while Most Excellent Actress and Actor went to Ngo Thanh Van and Nhan Phuc Vinh.

Binh Minh won Most Favourite Speaker for his role as the host of the Iron Chef game show.

Thanh Loc and Le Khanh won awards for the Most Favourite Theatrical Actor and Actress.

The annual awards event is sponsored by Nguoi Lao Dong (The Labourer) newspaper to recognise artists who make contributions to cultural and arts activities. It was launched in 1991 under the name Most Beloved Artists of the Year. The name was changed to Golden Apricot in 1995.
