In the final round, VTV Binh Dien Long An played against host PEA Sisaket from Thailand.

The formation of coach Nguyen Quoc Vu included Kim Thoa, Anh Phuong, Cam Linh, Kim Thanh, Duong Hen, Thanh Thuy, and Kim Lien.

On the opposite side of the net were Thailand’s Pornpun, Pleumjit, Hattaya, Wilavan, Chatchu-on, Ajcharaporn, and Wanna.

In the first set, PEA Sisaket showed their real power beating Binh Dien Long An 25-14.

In the second stanza, Anh Phuong was replaced by Ngoc Hoa. The match was more even as Hoa showed her role and influence.

Thanh Thuy and Duong Hen contributed with points for Binh Dien Long An.

In the end, Binh Dien Long An beat PEA Sisaket 25-18 and 25-22 to become the runner-up at the Sealect Tuna Cup 2018.

Binh Dien Long An’s second place was their first success, though they were not highly ranked at this year’s tournament. Yet, the Mekong Delta team need to improve their capabilities in setting and blocking while their strategy remains simple.
