The Ho Chi Minh City branch of Vietnam Television (VTV9) and VTVcab have jointly announced a broadcasting agreement to air multiple elite competitions  -  including Italy’s Serie A, France’s Ligue 1, the UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA Conference League.

With this deal, VTV9 becomes the only national free-to-air channel in Vietnam to offer live coverage of major European football leagues.

Matches from Serie A and Ligue 1 are scheduled for weekly broadcasts, while the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League will be aired live at 22:30, 00:45, and 3:00 (Vietnam time), in line with the tournaments’ official kick-off times.

Beyond the matches themselves, VTV9 will also produce a series of accompanying programs, including expert commentary, behind-the-scenes features, and interactive minigames  -  all infused with a Southern Vietnamese flair: engaging, energetic, and creatively local.

In addition to football broadcasts, VTV9 and VTVcab also unveiled plans to co-host Vietnam’s largest-ever Pickleball tournament, featuring a total prize pool of 2 billion VND (approx. 81,500 USD)  -  the highest in the sport’s national history.

The tournament will draw more than 600 athletes from across the country, competing in both amateur and professional brackets. All matches will be broadcast live on VTV9 and simulcast across the network’s digital platforms.
