VietNamNet Bridge – In Co Nhue, Tu Liem District, and Quynh Thanh, Thanh Tri District, water spinach and other vegetables are planted near and even on tombs in the cemetery of Co Nhue commune. These vegetable fields are incredibly verdant.

For farmers in Hanoi suburbs, growing water spinach is easy and fast to harvest. Vegetables from the graveyards are sold in the markets in the districts of Tu Liem, Thanh Tri and Cau Giay.

A vegetable grower said: "Due to agricultural land in the area reducing, we have to plant vegetables everywhere we can, even on the tombs."

She said after harvest, farmers cut the vegetable to the root then fertilize and spray pesticide and wait for a new harvest.
