
Among the 234 projects either launched or inaugurated on December 19 to mark the upcoming 14th National Party Congress, many were social housing developments, offering homeownership opportunities to tens of thousands of low-income residents.
In Hanoi, the construction of the Tien Duong 1 Social Housing Complex - commercially known as Tien Duong Park City - began in Phuc Thinh commune, the former Dong Anh district. The project is spearheaded by Vihoce Tien Duong Joint Stock Company, established through a joint venture between Viglacera Corporation – JSC, Hoang Thanh Infrastructure Investment and Development JSC, and Central Construction JSC.
Nguyen Van Dung, Director of Vihoce, stated that Tien Duong Park City is Hanoi’s first independently developed urban-social housing model. With an estimated investment of approximately USD 382 million and spanning about 45 hectares, the project aims to house more than 12,465 residents.
Once completed, the complex will offer approximately 3,530 apartments, including over 3,100 social housing units, 427 commercial apartments, and 99 low-rise adjacent houses.
The development is designed with a comprehensive internal amenities system, including schools, commercial and service centers, green parks, sports zones, community spaces, parking lots, and various public facilities.
Also in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security commenced two housing projects for members of the People’s Public Security Forces. One is located in Son Dong commune with an investment of around USD 134 million, and the other in Vinh Thanh commune, valued at approximately USD 156 million. Both are being developed by Confitech Tay Ha Noi JSC.
In Da Nang, two social housing projects have started construction. The first is located on land lot No. 3 in Zone B of the Nam Cau Cam Le residential area, with an investment of USD 41.7 million. The second is on land lot No. 5 of the same zone, with a capital outlay of USD 56.4 million.
Quang Ninh Province also launched five social housing developments with a combined investment of USD 376 million. These include a project located on 20% of the land allocated within the new urban area in Tran Thai Tong and Cao Xanh wards, costing USD 23.9 million.
Another project is situated on 20% of the land in the new urban area of Ao Tien in Ha Tu ward, backed by an investment of USD 69 million. Additionally, the social housing project on land lot No. 10 in the infrastructure business area of Ao Tien in Van Don Special Economic Zone is being developed at a cost of USD 49.6 million.
A further housing project is located within the Bai Chay urban service area, valued at USD 136 million. There is also a project under way on lot AOM-72, as per the zoning plan of Subdivision 2 in Cao Xanh ward.
