World Bank president Robert Zoellick said on Thursday that euro zone countries have to promote growth and implement structural reforms to tide over the economic crisis.

The future of Europe lies in the actions of the individual countries, Zoellick said at at a news conference in Washington.

"Banking system remains under significant pressure," Zoellick cautioned, adding that further actions are going to be needed.

He noted euro zone countries should support demand and promote long-term growth through structural reforms at the same time.
