VietNamNet Bridge – Young weightlifter Thach Kim Tuan has brought home three gold medals for Vietnam in the men’s U56kg event of the 2012 Asian Junior Weightlifting Championships.

In addition, Tran Thi My Dung and Ngo Thuan Nu have won two silvers, one in the women’s 53kg snatch and another in the women’s 63kg clean-and-jerk, respectively.

The championships, which took place in Yangon, Myanmar, from November 6-12, attracted 75 male and 50 female weightlifters from 17 Asian countries and territories.

It provided a good chance for Vietnamese athletes to hone their skills in preparation for the 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar next year, and the 2nd Youth Olympics Games in China in 2014.
