 VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese weightlifters will try to secure their Olympic berths at the coming world championships to be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from November 4 to 16.

 VietNamNet Bridge – Viet Nam will send five male and four female weightlifting athletes to compete in the upcoming 17th Asian Games (ASIAD) in Incheon, South Korea from September 19 to October 4.

Despite the rules of the SEA Games that allows the participating countries to register two weightlifters for a weight category, the host country of the 27th SEA Games – Myanmar – has issued its own rules that only one weightlifter can compete.

The national under-19 team will enjoy a training course at European giant Arsenal's campus early next year.
