The People’s Court of Vinh Yen Town of Vinh Phuc province on April 11 made the verdict on the labor dispute between engineer Le Van Tach and Toyota Vietnam.

The jury said that Tach is unlawful to protest Toyota Vietnam’s labor regulations, which was compiled under the Vietnam law. Tach did know about the regulations when he joined Toyota Vietnam but he did not have any idea at that time. Therefore, Thach’s claim is groundless.

Tach also sent a lot of emails and letters to Toyota Vietnam’s CEO and it is considered as “disturbance” to the CEO under the company’s regulations.

For that reason, Toyota Vietnam’s discipline imposed on Tach is legal, the jury said.

The jury did not accept Tach’s claim and asked the engineer to pay the legal costs.
