Kachnar flowers in Muong Thanh Valley

The flowers can be found along the streets leading to villages of Thai ethnic people in the region and even in Dien Bien City. To some extent, this flower has become a symbol of Dien Bien. In the blooming season in March, Thai ethnic people celebrate their new year on March 15. During this year’s Thai festival between March 10 and 15, Dien Bien City attracted around 11,000 visitors, including 2,500 from abroad, who came to watch art and music performances, enjoy local food and walk along the streets full of beautiful white kachnar flowers.
