In its first publication at http://abei.gov.vn, the website of the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, the White List includes 301 authorized e-newspapers and e-magazines, 1,381 news aggregator websites and 953 social networks with detailed information on licensing authority, license number, authorized units, managing agencies and domain names.
According to the Vietnam News Agency, from May to December 2022, the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information announced three times that certain websites showed signs of law infringement. Pursuant to this, advertising service providers, advertisers and advertisement publishers have been requested not to collaborate with these web pages to publish advertising products.
The number of websites violating rules announced by the authority amounted to 171 in 2022.
The release of the White List by the Ministry of Information and Communications aimed to strengthen the Government’s online advertising management.
The Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information will release brands, advertising service providers, advertisement publishers and information websites that infringe the law and warn organizations and businesses not to work with them.
This year, the competent authorities will boost reviewing and addressing the violations of those involved in cross-border advertising activities such as Facebook, Google, Ad Network, local advertising service providers and advertisement publishers, including local websites and social networks, said the Vietnam News Agency.
