Beating out 11 contestants, the Chinese pianist Zhiheng Guo became the winner of group C category (18-25 years old). Meanwhile, the Vietnamese-Canadian JJ Bui was winner of group B category (14-17 years old) and one of the two best concerto players of the competition. Two Vietnamese pianists Ho Le Dang Khoi and Tran Gia Quang were co-winners of group A category (10-13 years old).
This year’s competition attracted 82 Vietnamese and international contestants, a significant increase compared to last year.
