VietNamNet Bridge – TNG Thai Nguyen secured second place in the National Women’s Football Championship after their 2-0 win over Viet Nam Coal and Minerals in the third round match at the Ha Nam Province Stadium.

Nguyen Thi Dang and Nguyen Thuy Linh scored 10 minutes into the fourth quarter of the match for Thai Nguyen.

They will have three days rest before coming back to face HCM City 2 on Thursday.

In the earlier match, host Phong Phu Ha Nam easily beat newcomer Son La 3-0.

Coach Van Thi Thanh kept her best players on the bench, giving a chance for her young members to play. However, the team did not face many difficulties as Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa scored in the 41st minute.

Two other goals went to Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung and Nguyen Thi Tuoi in the second half.

The third win moves Ha Nam up to become the leading team, ignoring results of the other games of the round today.

Ha Noi 1 will play HCM City 2 and Ha Noi 2 meets HCM City 1.
