Cao Thi My Duyen gave birth to her baby girl on the SE22 train on Wednesday morning.

The train which departed HCM City on Tuesday evening, was passing through Quang Nam Province when a sleeping car attendant noticed that a heavily pregnant passenger had gone into labour.

The attendant immediately informed the captain who then made an urgent call for a doctor or nurse on board to help the woman to give birth.

A passenger, Tran Thi Nguyet Nga, who is a doctor, presented herself and helped the woman give birth safely at 6 am with the support of two attendants.

When the train arrived at Danang Station, the woman and her baby were taken to a local hospital for further care.
