VietNamNet Bridge - Many tourists to Song Son Temple in Bim Son town of Thanh Hoa province were very surprised to see a woman who wore a lot of gold jewelry, totaling dozens of taels (1 tael – 37.5gr).

The woman has become famous after her pictures were posted on social networks and several local newspapers wrote about her.

The woman is named Tinh, selling offerings at the Song Son Temple.

"I’ve accumulated the jewelry for years. I wear them to make myself more beautiful, not to exorcise evils as someone rumored," Tinh said.

"Many people said I had mental problems and they threatened me with robbery, but luckily I’ve never been robbed," Tinh added.

An offering seller at the Song Son temple said Tinh has been working here for more than 10 years. Five years ago, she began wearing gold jewelry and the volume was on the rise. Some curious people asked Tinh about it but this 40-year-old woman never answered.

Tinh’s stall is only about 5m2, selling fruits, flowers, votives and incense only. Looking at this stall, many people cannot believe that its owner possesses massive assets.

Asking Tinh about the gold, she said: "That’s my property and I want to wear them."

This woman’s neck, ears, arms and fingers are fully covered by gold jewelry, which may weigh kilos.

Tinh said she wore the jewelry day and night and she was comfortable with them.

Mr. Vu Van Xuyen, Head of the Son Son temple management board, said: "Visitors from neighboring provinces, especially from Hanoi, really like the offering sellers who are rich. They thought that purchasing offerings from such sellers would have luck and prosperity and this may be the reason for the strange act of this woman."
