Several minutes before the signing of a cooperation agreement between VFF and the Japan Football Association (JFA) in Hanoi on July 11, JFA President Daini Kuniya and Vice President Tashima Kohzo had a short meeting with the VFF leadership.

Kohzo handed over to VFF President Le Hung Dung dossiers of the two Japanese coaches who were introduced to lead Vietnam’s national women football team at a VFF request.

Although VFF and JFA refused to disclose the names of the candidates, VFF President Dung said both have coaching experience and one of them had worked in Germany.

The dossiers have been sent to VFF General Secretary Le Hoai Anh and relevant agencies for consideration, and the select name of the Japanese coach will be announced very soon, said Dung.

Earlier, JFA introduced Toshiya Miura as chief coach of the national men’s squad and Tanaka Koji as head of the Vietnam Football Championship (V-League).
