Players Pham Le Thao Nguyen, Hoang Thi Bao Tram, Nguyen Thi Mai Hung and Hoang Thi Nhu Y beat South Africans Cecile van der Merze, Anwel Solomon, Denise Frick and Lauren van Niekerk 4-0.

Vietnam beat Turkey 3.5-1.5 in the 6 th round, Nguyen, Tram and Y beat Yidiz Betul Cemre, Ozturk Kubra and Kaplan Ebru while Nguyen Thi Thanh An drew with Cemhan Kardelen.

Vietnam lost to leaders China 1-3 in the round and to second-placed India 0-4 in the 5 th round.

Undefeated China are currently first with 14 points followed by India (11) and Russia (10).
