The team will be convened at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center in Hanoi from August 1, with 24 players, including the players who were absent in the Asian Cup qualifier like Lai Thi Tuyet (Ha Nam), Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai (HCM City), Tran Thi Hong Nhung (Ha Nam), Tran Thi Hong Linh (HCM City), Le Thu Thanh Huong (Ha Nam) and Nguyen Thi Nga (Ha Noi).

The young players who did not perform well at the Asian Cup qualifier, including Vu Thi Nhung (Thai Nguyen), Do Thi Nguyen (Ha Nam), Bui Thi Lan ( Ha Noi), Vu Thi Ngan (Vinacomin) and Nguyen Huong Giang (Thai Nguyen) will not be called up to the national team this time.

Just a day after the group-up, the team will go to Da Lat (Lam Dong) for a training course until August 14. On August 15, the team will return to the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center to prepare for the trip to South Korea.

During the time in Hanoi, the team will play three friendly games against Hanoi men’s U14 team on 22/8, 24/8 and 26/8. In South Korea, they will play again two local clubs on 2/9 and 4/9.

The team will move straight from South Korea to Myanmar to promptly attend the AFF Cup 2013 in the city of Mandalay from 7-23/9. Thus, the team will be trained in over 5 weeks to prepare for the AFF Cup 2013.

At this tournament, Vietnam will be in Group A along with U19 Australia, Malaysia, Thailand and Jordan. Vietnam will face Thailand in the opening game on 9/10.
