In celebration of the death anniversary of Hung Kings, the founders of the nation, on the 10th day of the third lunar month, there will be three days off from Saturday, April 13 to Monday, April 15.

The break for the Reunification Day (April 30) and Labour Day (May 1) holidays will last four days from Monday, April 29 to Thursday, May 2.

Though Monday, April 29 is not technically a holiday, workers will get the day off to enjoy an unbroken five day break, so they will have to make up their time on May 4.

The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs asked State agencies to mobilise staff on the days off to ensure uninterrupted work.

This year, the number of days off for these holidays is a day longer than the previous year.

The total number of days off for public holidays this year is 21, including one day for New Year holiday on January 1, nine consecutive days for Lunar New Year, eight days for the April holidays and three days for National Independence Day in September.
