* Better preparation urged for universities
The Ministry of Education and Training has asked universities and colleges nationwide to avoid shortcomings in the second round of this year's university entrance exams this weekend.
Exam supervisors who were reported to have violated exam rules in the first round will not be permitted to take part in the second round.
In the first round on July 4 and 5, 700,000 candidates sat for the tests, accounting for 76 per cent of all applicants. Among them, 126 candidates reportedly violated regulations including 80 who were suspended from the exams. Four supervisors were also suspended.
