VietNamNet Bridge – Four police bands from Vietnam, Japan, the USA and South Korea made an impressive performance around Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem Lake in the morning of October 23.

The show is part of the 16th world police music gala, which is organized for the first time in Vietnam from October 22 to 26, by the Ministry of Public Security and Japan’s Mainichi newspaper.

This is an annual event based on an idea of Japan’s Mainichi newspapers, aiming to create a safe society by enhancing international exchanges among countries’ police officers. The event is expected to strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and other nations in the field of crime-fighting and security.

Joining the 16th music gala are four police bands of Tokyo police, Seoul police, New York police and Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security.

As part of the event, police missions joined a parade around Hoan Kiem Lake and an outdoor concert in Ly Thai To Park in Hanoi on October 22.

This is the first time Vietnam hosts this event. In 2008, a Vietnamese police band joined the 13th world police festival in Tokyo, Japan. This year Vietnam also hosts the 16th Interpol conference.

The world police festival was launched in 1996 as an annual event. It has been organized in many countries in the world.
