Worldwide Arms Museum, the first private weapon museum in Vietnam, was opened at No. 98, Tran Hung Dao St., in the southern coastal city of Vung Tau on April 21.

The museum is owned by Robert Taylor, a British national whose wife is Vietnamese. The man has lived in the city since 1991.
The local authority has offered a lease for Taylor at the said address for the opening of the museum.
On display at the museum are over 2,000 items ranging from guns and swords to army uniforms dating back to between the 17 th and 20 th centuries. They originate from nations around the world such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, Japan and the Netherlands.
More than 500 weapons and army uniforms will be exhibited at the museum, Taylor said.
It is open to the public from 8:00 am to 18:00 pm daily.
