VietNamNet Bridge – Viet Nam took part in the World Junior Wrestling Championships in Pattaya, Thailand yesterday, Sept 4.

The five-member team includes Vu Thi Hang (women's 48kg), Duong Thi Lan (women's 55kg), Pham Thi Loan (women's 59kg), Pham Van Co (men's 60kg) and Can Tat Du (men's 74kg).

Hang won silver at the recent Asian Junior Championships. She also competed at the world event in Bucharest, Romania, last year.

The five-day Thai event, which has drawn entrants from 50 countries, will last until Sunday.

* Nam wins U18 tennis champs

Fifteen-year old Ly Hoang Nam once again took the title of U18 International Tennis Federation Junior Champion in the southern province of Binh Duong on Sunday.

In the final round, Nam beat the tourney's No 1 seed Tang Chih Chun of Chinese Taipei 2-0 (6-0, 6-2).

Last week, he also took the crown of the U18 ITF event organised in the central province of Thua Thien Hue after beating his old rival Tang 2-1.

In the women's side, Thailand's PliPuech Plobrong beat Chinese Taipei's Huang En Pei to take the title.

Last year, Nam also surprised with his win in the U18 ITF event in Singapore.
