With the theme "Binh Duong Province’s 25 years of development: achievements and prospects," the event attracted the attendance of nearly 800 officials and experts, including former State President Nguyen Minh Triet. At the symposium, delegates discussed various topics in the fields of economy, society, culture, defense, diplomacy, and security.

The conference was accompanied with an exhibition, field trips and many sideline events, which focused on Binh Duong’s achievements and development plans for the 2021-2025 period, with industrialization, modernization, and the 4th industrial revolution as the key.

At the exhibition, BECAMEX IDC introduced its technology-emphasized ecosystem, with the following contents: 

The establishment of the Eastern International University (EIU) to meet the urgent needs for qualified human resources for sustainable social-economic development; 

The Smart Manufacturing Center – promoting 4.0 industrial solutions to turn Binh Duong into the technology transfer hub of the Southern Key Economic Region; 

The establishment of Becamex nursery based at the Eastern International University and Block 71 Saigon to create a complete start-up ecosystem, focusing on the strength of the Southern Key Economic Region and building the foundation for international connection; 

The World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City is a project on international trade and service development, with the goal of becoming a destination of the international trade activities of the Southern Key Economic Region. It is connected with over 300 other world trade centers in over 100 countries and territories to be the gateway for international business and promote trade and service.

On this occasion, the World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City joined the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to introduce an online platform to support Vietnamese small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to approach the regional and international market.

The World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City, as the organizer of this event, tried its best to well organize the scientific conference, the exhibition, the field trips as well as the sideline events. The success of the Binh Duong scientific conference 2022 is the evidence for the effort and ability as well as the position of the World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) industry.

Based on its strength and advantages, the World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City plans to develop a MICE complex in the Southern Key Economic Region to realize its business strategy at home and abroad and to promote the development of Vietnam’s MICE industry as well as to expand its scope of operation through establishing a cooperation network with MICE-related partners (exhibition organizers, hospitality service providers, tourism and entertainment service providers…).

The Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC), the host of the Binh Duong Scientific Symposium 2022, with a 1,500-seat hall and many meeting rooms, is the best place for large MICE events and other types of events and conferences in Binh Duong province as well as the Southern Key Economic Region.

Besides the BCEC, the 22,000sq.m World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City, which meets international standards, is also an ideal place for MICE events such as exhibitions, trade promotion conferences and others.

The two facilities, which are managed by professionals, have been playing an important role in developing Binh Duong’s MICE industry.

The World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City, as a member of the World Trade Center Association, is linked with the network of over 314 world trade centers in nearly 100 countries in the world, with more than 1 million members.

In the past few years, the World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City successfully held 16 webinars, with the participation of about 7,000 domestic and foreign investors, officials, experts and hundreds of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Early this year, the World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City joined the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) to successfully organize the K-CONTENT Festival. It will expand its capacity as a content provider through international collaboration not only in B2B (business to business) but also B2C (business to consumer) form.

Besides its cooperation with KOCCA, the World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City has been promoting cooperation with foreign partners. Last year, it cooperated with the WTC Mumbai to hold an online exhibition for Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) and start-up projects and with Singapore Constella to organize the “Industrial Transformation of Asia-Pacific” exhibition. Through its relations with foreign partners, the World Trade Center - Binh Duong New City has played the key role in Binh Duong’s trade promotion activities in particular and that of Vietnamese firms in general.

As Vietnam has successfully controlled the Covid-19 pandemic to resume normal activities, trade promotion and MICE industry in Binh Duong province is expected to strongly develop this year.
