VietNamNet Bridge – The Viet Nam wushu team yesterday, Oct 21, left for China to take part in the World Sanshou Cup.

The 11-member squad under coach Le Minh Ha will compete in two or three categories.

The tournament, which was first organised in 2002, is only for those who were in top four of each weight category in the world championships.

Previously Viet Nam won two gold, two silver and six bronze medals.

* Hosts Viet Nam finish first in successful Judo Open

Viet Nam took top place at the International Judo Open which ended in southern Bac Lieu Province on Saturday.

The host won eight gold medals, one more than second-placed South Korea. Singapore stood third with one gold.
Earlier the Vietnamese athletes also triumphed at the Southeast Asian Judo Championships, grabbing 15 gold medals, all were in combat events.
