The Yale Alumi Chorus (YAC) will give performances at Hanoi Opera House on June 21 to promote cultural exchange between Vietnam and the US.

The event is co-organised by the Vietnam National Opera & Ballet and the US embassy in Vietnam. The YAC was established in 1997 and has been a well-known choir in the US. It has regularly toured several nations in the world including Russia, the UK, Turkey and China.

Conductor Jeffrey DouMa of the YAC and solo pianist Scarlett Zuo will also arrive in Hanoi for the same performances.

Vietnamese artists Nguyen Thu Quynh (alto) and Tran Thi Trang (soprano) from the Vietnam National Opera & Ballet are expected to participate in the cultural exchange.

Audiences will have an opportunity to enjoy two choral masterpieces of Mozart namely Piano Concerto and Requiem.
