VietNamNet Bridge – Popular youth channel YANTV has introduced Hiphop Central, a new reality show for hip hop lovers and the underground community.

Viewers will receive useful knowledge on hip hop and dance lessons and will witness “Sprite Dance Battle” among local DJs, hip hoppers, beat boxers, poppers and rappers.

People may be familiar with battles between dance crews and dancers who show all their best moves to compete with each other. However, a new feature on this show is that the battles are between DJs and beatboxers, rapper sand dancers, Bboys and poppers.

The show has the participation of some popular names among the nation’s youth, like beatboxer Mr. T, Bboy S3C, rapper NJ and Houser Black Frog.

Audiences may find it interesting to watch some special scenes in the show with one contestant both popping and making bo bia (Chinese-style rolls) or a dancer performing on a bus for the public. In each episode there is a session called “Sprite Skool” where an instructor will teach audiences basic to advance moves to practice at home.

Rapper Rapsoul and choreographer Ha Le will be the VJs for the show which is aired every Monday at 8 p.m. with reruns at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, 11 p.m. on Wednesdays, 10 p.m. on Fridays and 5:30 p.m. on Sundays on YANTV.
