Rapid stock gains and concert success

The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) requested an explanation from Yeah1 following the continuous increase of its stock from December 17 to 23.

YEG shares jumped nearly 7% per session during this period, climbing from VND 14,600 per share on December 16 to VND 30,300 per share by December 23.

Over the past two months, YEG’s stock has more than doubled, driving the company’s market capitalization to nearly VND 2.8 trillion.

The surge in stock price follows the success of Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai (The Daring Brother), a television program that began airing in June. Featuring prominent northern Vietnamese artists such as Tu Long, Bang Kieu, Tuan Hung, and Soobin Hoang Son, the show gained significant popularity and public attention.

Strategic expansion and recognition

Yeah1 has leveraged this success to organize two large-scale concerts for the program: one in Hung Yen on December 14 and another in Ho Chi Minh City on October 19. These concerts, described as musical extravaganzas featuring top-tier performances and renowned artists, further bolstered the program’s appeal.

The impact of these events was acknowledged by the Prime Minister at the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism’s year-end review conference on December 18. The Prime Minister praised programs like Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai and Anh trai say hi, calling for the replication of similar models to promote cultural and artistic development.

Yeah1’s strong performance is also reflected in its financial results. In the first nine months of the year, the company reported after-tax profits of VND 56 billion, a 4.5-fold increase compared to the same period last year.

The company attributes its profitability to the licensing and production of its hit programs, including The Daring Brother and Chị đẹp đạp gió (The Beautiful Sister Rides the Wind), which attracted substantial sponsorships and boosted revenue in the third quarter.
