VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam’s under 20 basketball team will compete in a friendly youth tournament in Cambodia on December 27-31.

Head coach Phan Thanh Canh and technical director Kevin Yukurs have chosen 23 players for the event, which will feature Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and the hosts Cambodia.

The tournament is sponsored by the International Basketball Federation with the aim of creating a chance for young players to hone their skills and gain experience as well as train referees and coaches of participating countries.

“We take part in the event with the aim of developing young players to select for the national team,” said Canh.

Among players in the team, Hanoi contributed five players.
