Unlike his previous show which featured singers and musicians, tonight's performance will also feature Viet Nam's leading hair stylists, and is being hosted by the international haircare brand Davines.

The hair stylists, including Hoang Minh Tam, Tran Hung and Don Hau, will present the latest hairstyle trends, and their demonstrations will be partnered by fashion shows presenting the newest collections by designers Kelly Bui and Anh Pham.

Tam, who is the director of Education Davines Vietnam, will showcase a collection entitled Dong Thoi Gian (Time Flow).

Inspired by Coco Chanel, who was the first designer to create loose women's jerseys creating a relaxed style for women, Tam's collection presents liberal styles that are also very feminine.

Hung, who has participated at the annual Davines Hair Show since 2007, will unveil his Nguyen Ban (The Origin) collection, which uses just three base colours: red, black and white.

Don Hau will make his debut at the show with his collection Quyen Luc (The Power).

According to Hau, who has sharpened his talent in Canada over the past 20 years, his collection dignifies the internal power of women, who "at the same time are very determined and aspiring".

The hair stylists will present their creations in the form of a three-chapter revue, which will contain a combination of musical performances, drama and contemporary dance.

The amateur cast who performed in previous plays by stage director Anh will also be featured in this show.

Without revealing too much about the script for the show, the 23-year-old director said he will turn the stage into a surrealist setting.

Like his previous dramas, Anh will stage his show tonight around contemporary international hits, including A Whole New World, Born This Way, Beauty and the Beast, Stronger and Love Changes Everything.

Anh has translated the lyrics for the songs into Vietnamese so local audiences can understand.

Anh, who is currently a student at the Faculty of Theatre and Film at the University of New Hampshire in the US, had to postpone a semester to "focus all my mind on this creative show".

"However, I feel completely relaxed working on this project. The only pressure that I have had was to produce a script within one month, while I spent almost a year for my debut show in 2012," he said.

The Davines Hair Show will take place at the Ha Noi Opera House from 8pm.
