The eSports sector in Vietnam has significant potential but also faces numerous challenges. One of the most prominent issues is the lack of modern infrastructure that meets the standards needed to organize large-scale eSports tournaments. Investing in eSports in Vietnam is a risky decision, requiring brave individuals, enthusiasm, and strong financial capacity to succeed.

In 2023, a new name emerged in the eSports world: Duong Do, Chairman of Ocean Entertainment Group Joint Stock Company. With entrepreneurial zeal and a passion for eSports, Duong Do has always nurtured the idea of creating a comprehensive eSports ecosystem in Vietnam, starting from a foundation of modern facilities and infrastructure.

This aspiration motivated Duong Do and some friends to found Ocean Entertainment Group (OEG) in 2022 with the goal of building a comprehensive eSports ecosystem in Vietnam.

As company president, Duong Do is always present from early morning, personally editing the host’s script and participating in every small preparation step of the National Student eSports tournament held at OEG Stadium in 2023.

Starting with an international standard eSports competition arena and a staff of only about a dozen "comrades in arms," Duong Do launched the OEG Stadium eSports entertainment complex within a year. With a capacity of up to 1,000 people, this venue hosts major events such as the Northern Final and the National Final of the 2023 National Student eSports tournament.

Many people said that Duong Do's investment in OEG Stadium is "risky." This venture not only requires significant financial investment but also demands considerable mental energy, especially given Duong Do's long-term plan to expand the scale of OEG Stadium to other regions, such as the Central and Southern areas, with the aim of turning OEG into a leading eSports entertainment complex chain.

Duong Do believes that the success of OEG Stadium will set the stage for a comprehensive eSports ecosystem. By organizing major tournaments, OEG Stadium will provide young talents with opportunities to compete and learn from top gamers, elevating the level of professional gamers in Vietnam. This is also a chance for young gamers to meet recruiters and professional teams, opening up numerous career opportunities in eSports.
