VietNamNet Bridge – Manh Cuong, 28, asked for his girlfriend’s hand by a romantic flashmob dance on the bank of Hanoi’s West Lake on April 20.

Cuong is a staff of an oil and gas company while his girlfriend, named Ha, is a banking employee.

Cuong said that his flashmob was inspired by a popular clip on Youtube, in which an overseas Vietnamese made an offer of marriage to his girlfriend by a flashmob.

The dance was performed by over 50 people of 20-50 years old. They practiced the dance for nearly three weeks. Dancers included Cuong’s friends and relatives.

The show attracted many passers-by.
