VietNamNet Bridge – A 59-second video clip showing a girl bathing in the Hoan Kiem Lake which was uploaded to the Internet on October 8 has stirred up outrage? among the online community.

Within several days, the clip has spread on many online forums and was watched by around 100,000 people. The online community, mainly young people, was very angry with the girl’s ill-considered act.
“It is unmannerly! Why did that shameful scene appear at a holy place like the Hoan Kiem Lake?” one commented on a social network.
“Oh my God! That’s disgusting!”, “This girl must be mad!” and “She is so impudent!” are the most popular comments.
People were even more angry since the incident took place at the time when Hanoi celebrated its 1000th anniversary.
“What will foreign visitors think about the charm of Vietnamese women if they see this scene. It’s so sad!,” one wrote on tuu.vn forum.
Some people said that the act not only harms Hanoi’s holy place? but also shows the poor morals of some young people.
People condemned the girl’s action/behaviour and expressed their disapproval of the witnesses who didn’t prevent the girl’s wrongful act but instead, filmed the scene.
They called upon the online community to delete that “ugly” clip.
