VietNamNet Bridge – Hundreds of candles were lighted, hundreds of fans sang together Michael Jackson’s “We Are The World” at the “One Name, One Legend 2: Michael Jackson and More” show to commemorate the King of Pop’s second death anniversary in Hanoi on June 25.
In comparison to the similar show last year, this year’s show was held in bigger scale and prepared better. Rock and hiphop were the two major genres of the show, which included three parts: Michael Jackson is Back, Michael Jackson and more và Michael Jackson with Rock.
The show opened by a flash mob dance on the melody of “Beat It”, performed by Michael Jackson fan club. The show was heat up by the “Billie Jean” dance of a child. Dinh Manh Ninh, the guest singer, moved fans by “Childhood”.
Tu Michael, one of the most famous fans of Michael Jackson in Vietnam, contributed to the show with a dance named “Ghost”.
In the second part, familiar songs by Michael Jackson like “They Don’t Care About Us”, “Dangerous”, “Beat It” and “Librarian Girl” were re-mixed and performed in new styles. Breaking News, which was re-mixed from various songs by Michael Jackson and performed by three young men named Quyet Kratos, Linh ABC and Khanh Bad won big applauses from the audiences.
Minh Kien, the most famous moonwalk dancer in Vietnam, devoted eye-catching moves on the music of “Scream", “History”, “They Don’t Care About Us” and “Billie Jean”.
The third part included “Earth Song”, “Black Or White” or “Give It To Me” in rock style, performed by Sand group, Dinh Manh Ninh, Gia Huy and Dang Quan, a ten-year-old dancer.
Some items were auctioned for charity during the show.
The most moved moment in the three-hour show was the moment when hundreds of candles were burnt and all audiences sang “We Are the World”.
Two years after the death of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop is still remembered by his fans in Vietnam.
