Since December 2021, the search volume of international tourists for Vietnam's airlines and tourist accommodation establishments has increased by over 75%, the highest globally. Ranking behind Vietnam are Chile, Bulgaria, New Zealand and Sri Lanka with a growth rate from 25% to 75%.

From the beginning of 2022, the number of international searches for aviation to Vietnam has been increasing rapidly. In early January 2022, the increase was about 247% year on year. It was 425% at the beginning of February 2022 and 654% at the middle of February 2022, compared to the same period in 2021.

Google Destination Insights also shows that tourists from countries such as the US, Japan, India, Germany, UK, Brazil... had the highest search volume for tourist information about Vietnam.

The 10 most searched Vietnamese destinations: Saigon, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Vung Tau, Nha Trang, Hanoi, Phan Thiet, Da Nang, Hoi An and Quy Nhon.

Although Vietnam has been closed for nearly two years because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam still leaves its mark on the international media. Most recently, British travel magazine Wanderlust named Vietnam on the list of the 20 most worth-visiting destinations in March.

Time Out, a global magazine specializing in food, tourism and culture, recently rated Hoi An ancient town in the central province of Quang Nam as one of the most romantic destinations in the world.

The growth in international search demand for Vietnam's aviation and tourism shows the potential of Vietnam's tourism, which is a positive sign before the local tourism industry opens completely on March 15.
