The move is to ensure clean water from Da River water plant to supply thousands of customers in Hanoi after the recent pollution crisis, vietnamplus.vn reported.

Daily water samples tested by the city’s Health Department in the past week show the water has met safety standard.

All water samples taken from tap water supplied by the Đà River in districts of Thach That, Nam Tu Liem, Ha Dong, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc meet permissible styrene levels, according to the Institute of Environmental Technology under Việt Nam Academy of Science and Technology.

In the coming days, the city’s Health Department will ask its units to continue taking water samples from the Da River water plant and households to assess the quality of water.
