The project aims to control tidal flooding and take the initiative in climate change adaptation over the area of 750 square kilometers with 6.5 million residents along the right bank of the Saigon River and the center area of HCMC.

The work will help the city regulate and lower water level in canals, improve drainage ability and urban landscape.

The investor of the project committed to operating the work by the end of this year or early next year if district authorities hand over the premise on June 30 as per schedule.
