There are a number of ideal locations in Da Lat to take part in camping activities such as Thien Phu hills, Golden valley, Lang Biang, and Hon Bo peak. These sites are located about 10 km to 20 km away from the city’s centre.
From mid-June to July, Hon Bo peak is seen as a popular destination for camping activities as tourists come to savour the scenic views of the city at night or the beautiful white clouds during the early morning.
A camping tour is priced between VND450,000 and VND850,000 for a single person per night. Tourists are able to travel individually to choose their favourite food, manage their time, and reduce the costs of their camping tour
Tourists who travel individually have the chance to rent a car, a tent for camping, and other items for their own journey. The price of renting a tent is VND100,000 per night for two people and VND120,000 per night for four people.
The camping activities on offer and cloud hunting usually takes one day and one night.
Camping activities during the night are considered to be a wonderful experience for young travelers to savour the scenic views of the city
Tourists have to wake up early in the morning to enjoy cloud hunting and experience beautiful moments with the white clouds.
Visitors are advised to pack warm clothes and sleeping bags to fight the cold which hits at night and not to camp in Da Lat from September to December due to the heavy rain that strikes during these periods.
