Specifically, the edict also says VND10 million – VND15 million fine will be imposed on those who don’t cooperate with agencies and organizations in rescuing travelers whereas VND15 million – VND20 million will be imposed on travel agents which don’t apply measures to protect tourists’ life and property.
Moreover, travel agents which employ foreign guide in Vietnam or use fake tourist guide card or its tourist guides providing wrong information distorting history and the country’s sovereignty will be fined VND90 million.
According to the decree, these agents letting foreign tourists stay illegally in Vietnam also receive a penalty of VND90 million.
Individuals or organizations in the field of tourism will receive different fines dependent on levels of violations. They could face revocation of business license in one month to 24 months or suspension from one month to six months as well as seizure of vehicle.
Additionally, they ought to pay back amount of money earning from conducting illegal deed or other charges as per regulations.
Noticeably, the edict stipulates that the maximum amount of fine on individual and on an organization that violate the law wiil be VND50 million and VND100 million respectively. SGGP
