Rescue forces have successfully saved thirteen Vietnamese sailors from the KAYO cargo ship, which encountered a serious incident in Malaysian waters.

The event occurred at 11:21 PM on December 5.
The KAYO ship, which is 92 meters long and 16 meters wide, was carrying clay from Lumut Port (Malaysia) to Hon Gai in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam, when it unexpectedly began listing 15 degrees to one side.
Amid rough seas with waves reaching 2 meters, the captain issued a distress call as the vessel lost stability.
There were 15 people aboard, including 13 Vietnamese crew members, one Indian, and one Bangladeshi.
Vietnam’s Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center immediately contacted its Malaysian counterpart, requesting urgent intervention.
