The NA Standing Committee, the Government, the NA Ethnic Council, the NA’s Committees, relevant agencies, NA deputy delegations and NA deputies have intensified preparations for the session.

Before the session was opened, NA deputy delegations and NA deputies met with voters to listen to and consider their aspirations and suggestions in order to pass on the feedback to the NA. The parliamentarians had also studied and discussed a number of documents and contents scheduled to be tabled at the session.

As scheduled, before the opening ceremony, NA deputies laid flowers and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

At 8am, the NA held a preparatory meeting to hear a report on adjusting the planned schedule and adopt the session’s official schedule.

At 9am an opening ceremony was held, which was broadcast live on VTV (Vietnam Television), the NA Television and the Voice of Vietnam, as well as aired on several radio stations.
