Hoang Anh Gia Lai and the Hoa Phat Steel Group, which have not released their financial reports, but their profit in 2015 surely exceeded VND1 trillion This would take the figure to 18.
Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Hoa Phat are believed to obtain profit of more than VND1 trillion because they had exceeded the threshold by the third quarter of 2015, and had good business performance in the fourth quarter.
There were 14 enterprises which made profit of over VND1 trillion in 2014.
This year’s list does not Include Pha Lai Power Company (PPC) which could not make a high profit due to the exchange rate fluctuations, while the financial investment did not bring the expected profits.
The company also had to make a provision of VND329 billion against risks in financial investments.
Meanwhile, a lot of new names have appeared in the 2015 list of enterprises with the profit of VND1 trillion and higher.

Kido surprised analysts not only because it had listed its name among the enterprises with huge profits, but also because it ousted other big names from high positions in the list and jumped to the third position.
Financial experts noted that Kinh Do’s huge profit mostly came from the sale of Kinh Do sweets manufacturing division to an investor from the US in the second quarter.
Like Kido, OGC also could make a fat profit thanks to the transfer of Ngoi Sao Xanh JSC. Thanks to the deal, the accumulative loss of the group decreased from VND2.434 trillion to VND970.7 trillion.
The others, including MWG, the computing device distribution, FLC, the real estate developer, and SSI, a securities company all made high profits from their core business fields.
Though still leading enterprises in terms of profit thanks to the monopoly in the oil & gas sector, GAS saw profits decreasing sharply due to the continued oil price fall.
2015 was a very unlucky year for the enterprise. Its profit in the fourth quarter of 2015 was reported at VND1.1 trillion, a 5-year record low.
BVH, an insurer, has seen its profit decreasing since 2012. Meanwhile, PVS, PVD and NT2 witnessed a profit slide in 2015 because of the oil price fall and exchange rate fluctuation.
