Mr. Bui Hong Do, director of Vinh Phuc Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, spoke to VietNamNet on the sidelines of a conference on tourism promotion to Vinh Phuc on December 29.

VInh Phuc has many advantages for golf. It has plans to build 14 golf courses, of which four have opened. In the last two months of the year, more than 1,000 Korean golfers came for golf tours and played at the four golf courses.

“Large companies in Ho Chi Minh City and four major golf associations have signed cooperation agreements with golf courses in Vinh Phuc to organize golf tours. We hope the number of tourists to our province will reach 10 million in 2023," said Mr. Do.

Vinh Phuc’s Vice Chairman Vu Viet Van said that in 2022, Tam Dao town was awarded the "World's Leading Destination Town". Vinh Phuc’s golf course system entered the top 5 most popular golf courses of the year. 

The number of tourists to Vinh Phuc was up by 15%/year in the 2015-2019 period. The province welcomed over 8.2 million people in 2022, earning tourism revenue of over VND 3,200 billion.

According to a report presented at the conference, Vinh Phuc has 36 tourism projects with a total registered capital of over VND 20 trillion. Some typical projects include Flamingo Dai Lai with total registered capital of over VND4.6 trillion, Tam Dao II project of SunGroup with total capital of nearly VND3 trillion in phase I; and FLC Luxury Resort Vinh Phuc project with total disbursed investment of about VND600 billion.
