On March 3, Hau Giang authorities announced the cause of the food poisoning suspected case that sent 44 workers of the Lac Ty 2 Company, in Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park, to hospital.

The authorities identified that the workers had severe stomachache and were fainted because they took their meal too late, resulted in low blood sugar and low calcium.

The incident occurred at noon on March 1. About 300 workers had lunch with rice, vegetables, soup and pork. They found out that the rice was undercooked.

The persons in charge of cooking bought milk and bread for workers. However, after about 15 minutes, dozens of people fell uncomfortable, vomited and fainted.

After several hours of treatment, workers recovered.
